Notes:
This was a big surprise to those of us who started with the two kingdom system- Plants and Animals. Everything got crammed into these two kingdoms-- and fungi got placed with the plants because they have cell walls. Of course now we know that the cell walls are made of chitin in fungi and of cellulose in plants.
