Kingdom Plants/ Liverworts

Structurally liverworts are the simplest group of plants lacking both stomata and specialized cells for food and water transport. The gametphyte is the dominant stage, the sporophyte being totally dependent on the gametophyte nutritionally. Free water is necessary for fertilization.
