The "Mushroom Love" T-shirt is both beautiful and educational. It shows what happens as fungi mate in the soil or in the wood. The pink represents the monokaryotic (one kind of nucleus) hyphae of one individual fungus that fuses with a blue monokaryotic hyphae of another individual fungus. These two together make a purple dikaryon that yields a blue and pink mushroom. You might think of this as resulting from an embrace by the pink girl and the blue boy. You can click on the image to the left to view a larger image of the T-shirt design. The design is about 11.5 inches high and 9 inches wide.
