Parenchyma Cells
Parenchyma cells are undifferentiated plant cells. Parenchyma cells typically have only a primary wall. Parenchyma cells are found in both the ground and vascular tissue systems. All the plant cells we studied in the plant cell lab (Link) are parenchyma cells. Plant meristems are made up of parenchyma cells. Parenchyma cells usually retain the ability to divide, and, given the proper conditions, to grow into a whole new plant.
