Collenchyma Tissue
Collenchyma cells have thickened primary walls that are usually uneven in thickness. A tissue made up of of just collenchyma cells is collenchyma tissue. Collenchyma tissue is often found in the cortex. There it provides an elastic, static force acting against the collective turgor pressure of the cells within. The two forces act together to support the plant.
